Rockingham County, NC -- A major firearms manufacturer is considering Rockingham County for a new manufacturing location.
The Rockingham County Partnership for Economic & Tourism Development (PETD) made the announcement Tuesday morning. They did not specify which manufacturer is considering expanding its operations to the Mayodan area, but they did describe them as "industry leading."
Before making the decision, the company will first conduct pre-employment screenings to see if there are enough qualified candidates for their advanced manufacturing operation. The PETD said interested candidates may attend an Open House June 18 from 11 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm.
The company is looking for people with the following skills and experience: production associates, team leaders, production supervisors, tool makers, machinists, maintenance technicians and manufacturing engineers.
The PETD said you can send an email to email@example.com with your full name and resume for more information.
