WINSTON-SALEM - After seeing what mother nature is capable of, it's important for everyone to understand the warning process. You can do just that on Saturday.
The Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Building will host two SKYWARN weather spotter training sessions. The basic session will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The advanced session runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Participants will learn to recognize cloud structure, storm motion and how different types of storms can develop.
