Triad -- The weekend has been nothing short of unsettled. Even when it wasn't raining, it felt like it could start at any time. Rain totals ranged from a few tenths to over an inch. Monday will be much the same.
With the same weather pattern in place, we could still see showers through the day on Monday. An afternoon thunderstorm can't be ruled out. Highs will be in the upper 70s.
By Tuesday, we switch it all up. There will be more sun and highs will surge to the mid 80s. There will still be a chance of rain- but it's only a 30% chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Wednesday will be about the same.
By Thursday and Friday, another frontal system will be in the picture. That will take rain chances back up to 40%. The good news is that it should clear the area by the weekend. That means Memorial Day weekend may shape up to be one of the nicest we've seen in a while.
