Thomasville, NC -- Deputies found a gun in a convicted felon's car after they said he was halfway driving in the wrong lane.
Officers searched Leroy Donmoneak Williams' vehicle on West Holly Hill Road in Thomasville because they smelled marijuana. They found a loaded .45 caliber handgun under the driver's seat; he was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Investigators said Williams had a prior felony conviction for Possession With Intent To Sell and Deliver Cocaine in 2002.
Additionally, Williams was charged with Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon. He was placed in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court June 25.
