Greensboro, NC -- WFMY News 2 is teaming up with Safe Kids Guilford County, and Safe Kids Randolph County for a Safe Kids Day event.
Wednesday, May 15 at WFMY News 2, 1615 Phillips Ave., Greensboro from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm, parents or guardians will have the opportunity to learn more about keeping their child safe.
This event includes child safety seat inspections, an interactive display concerning Never Leave Your Child Alone, Spot the Tot (children in and around cars), and more.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, car crashes are the number one killer of children 1 to 12 years old in the United States. The best way to protect them in the car is to put them in the right car seat, at the right time, and use it the right way.
For more information about determining which car seat type and model is best for your child, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's website.
NC Child Passenger Safety Law - G.S. 20-137.1 provides information about the regulations in our state.
