Greensboro, NC -- On Tuesday, May 7, hundreds of restaurants across the Triad are participating in "Dining Out For Hunger."
The annual event raises money for Greensboro Urban Ministry and Crisis Control Ministry in Forsyth County.
The Triad nonprofits organizations partnered with restaurants to raise awareness and money to support their hunger alleviation programs.
According to the latest Food Research and Action Center (FRAC) survey, Winston-Salem MSA was ranked 3rd and the Greensboro-High Point MSA was ranked 4th out of 25 Metropolitan Statistical Areas with the highest rates of food hardship in 2010.
On Tuesday, participating restaurants will donate 10% of their sales to the two nonprofits.
The restaurants will donate a portion of their sales from breakfast, lunch and dinner.
