Police: Three Killed In Lexington Vehicle Fire

Lexington, NC -- Police are still collecting evidence after a vehicle fire that killed three and left two injured Sunday morning.

Crews were responding to an alarm call on Central Avenue when they came across a 2007 Chrysler Sebring that had overturned and burned on Sink Inn Road.

Police found the accident at 3:40 a.m.

Officer say they found three victims dead at the scene. The two surviving victims, a 23- and 28-year-old, were taken to Thomasville Medical Center for treatment.

Police have not released the names of the victims killed in the accident and will not until detectives can identify the bodies and notify next of kin.
