Asheboro, NC -- Land line telephone outages could affect 9-1-1 service in Randolph County Sunday night, according to the Department of Emergency Services.
The outages are affecting some customers in the North State and CenturtyLink telephone areas. Most of the outages are in northwestern Randolph County.
If you're in that area and need to call 9-1-1, try to call (336) 318-6929 for Randolph County emergency dispatch, or call 9-1-1 from a cell phone.
Customers can also go to their closest fire department or law enforcement office for help in the event of an emergency.
Crews are currently working to restore telephone service, but there is no estimate for when service will be restored.
