Triad -- It seems like we've had plenty of April showers. It just hasn't been enough to bring us up to our monthly average. We are currently 0.57" ahead for 2013 but -1.20" for the month of April.
We could very well catch back up over the next two days.
An upper level low pressure system is making slow progress to the east. It will dominate our weather from now through Monday.
Clouds stick around tonight and rain makes it's way into the Piedmont. There is a good chance of showers by the time you wake up on Sunday morning. From then on, there could be rain at any time on Sunday. The best chance is in the afternoon. Highs will be cool and only in the low 60s.
The system will still be marching across the state on Monday. That means more rain is in store as we go back to work and school. By the time it moves out late on Monday, we could pick up 1-1.5" of rain.
The rain chances go down for Tuesday and Wednesday and temperatures will go back up to the 70s by then.
