Knoxville, TN-- A Rural/Metro firefighter that was injured when part of a home collapsed on him Tuesday night is out of the hospital.

10News cameras captured the moment the brick facade fell on the veteran firefighter, who then fell through a window to the ground.

The firefighter, whose name has not been released, suffered a broken foot in the fall. Rural/Metro says he's been with the department for more than a decade.

The home, located on South Creek Road off Maryville Pike in South Knoxville, was destroyed. No one else was hurt, but a cat was killed in the fire.
