Triad -- A cool high pressure system will remain in control of our weather a bit longer. That means below average temperatures will stick around through Tuesday.
With sunny skies, highs will make it to the low 60s today. The problem is the breeze. Winds should be NE 10-15 with gusts up to 25 mph. That will make the cool day seem even cooler. The wind chill may stay in the 50s most of the day.
Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high back in the upper 60s. That is still below the average high of 72.
A cold front will approach on Wednesday. Ahead of it will be a surge of warm air and highs in the mid 70s. There is a 20% chance of a shower late in the day. The better rain chance will be Wednesday night and Thursday.
Then there will be another cool down. Thursday through the weekend should stay below average with highs in the 60s.
