Triad Tornado Watch Canceled

Greensboro, NC -- As of 7:30PM, the National Weather Service has cancelled the Tornado Watch for the Triad and Piedmont region.

There were Tornado Warnings issued for Guilford, Randolph & Alamance Counties but they have been canceled. There have not been any tornadoes confirmed.

In the event of a Tornado Warning:

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you live in a mobile home or in a car move to the closest substantial shelter. If no shelter is available lie down in a low lying area and protect yourself.

A Tornado Watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes and weather conditions should be monitored closely.
