Winston-Salem, NC -- Winston-Salem Police arrested a man they believe intentionally set his house on fire.

On Tuesday, police responded along with fire crews to a house located on Rockbridge Court in Winston-Salem. Fire crews saw smoke coming from the house and located the fire on the first floor.

Firefighters saved a dog found inside the house. They gave it oxygen for smoke inhalation and after treatment the dog was conscious and alert with no injuries. No one was inside the house at the time of the fire.

The Winston-Salem Fire Department Fire Investigator determined the fire was intentionally set after finding evidence. Police arrested one of the homeowners, Kenneth Cockman. He's charged with Second Degree Arson, Burning of Personal Property, and Felony Cruelty to Animals. Cockman is under a $101,500 secured bond.
