Greensboro--Above normal temperatures could combine with a cold front to bring showers and a few strong or severe thunderstorms to the area.
The Triad has been placed in the "slight risk" area for severe weather for Thursday night through Friday morning. This does not mean severe storms will occur but rather it is possible.
With the cold front moving through at night, the threat is somewhat less that if the cold front was moving through during the time of afternoon heating.
The primary threat will be damaging thunderstorm winds, but hail is also possible.
