Greensboro, NC - It brings hundreds of people out every year; hand-made rugs at bargain prices. The Ten Thousand Villages 7th Annual Oriental Rug Event starts April 18, but Tuesday on the Good Morning Show, we gave you an exslusive first look at the rugs available.
Executive Director Joelle Nealy talked about the event on the Good Morning Show from the Highwoods Boulevard Store in Greensboro.
"We'll have over 300 rugs, hand-knotted by fairly paid adults in Pakiston in the store April 18-21st," said Nealy. The sale of one large rug provides work to an extended family for a year, "So this event has a big impact," she added.
Ten Thousand Village's Oriental Rug Event features a collection of over 300 heirloom-quality Oriental rugs hand-knotted by fairly paid adults in Pakistan.
