Statesville, NC -- Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire that caused part of an historic building to collapse Saturday morning, according to WBTV.
Crews were called to the scene at the Bartlett Milling Company around 8:30 a.m., where investigators say dust near a machine might have caused the fire.
There was only one reported injury in the incident; authorities say that person is being treated at a local hospital and should be OK.
It is not clear how many employees were working in the mill at the time of the fire.
Firefighters had a hard time getting to the flames because of the building's layout and the speed at which the fire spread. Crews got the scene under control around 12:30 p.m., but they're still investigating what could have caused the fire.
Bartlett Milling Company produces flour, feed and other products; the company was founded in 1907, according to the mill's website.
