On April 13th at 9 am at the Greensboro Coliseum, The Human Race will be holding its annual event in support of non-profit organizations.
The Human Race, sponsored by The Volunteer Center of Greensboro Inc., advocates beating a range of causes from cancer to animal abuse to heart disease to illiteracy to hunger. It allows individuals, families, and businesses to race for their non-profit of choice.
With more than $3.8 million raised over the past 18 years, The Human Race has hosted 6,000 race day participants with more than 5,000 walkers, 250 runners, and 400 volunteers throughout its history.
The Human Race has made an invaluable impact on national and local non-profit organizations working to bring an end to widespread problems, including the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Make-A-Wish, March of Dimes, Reading Connections, and United Way of Greater Greensboro.
