Jose Hernandez, Jose Sid, wanted for escaping from High Point Jail.
Greensboro, NC -- The search for two escaped inmates from a Guilford County Jail in High Point continues, however the sheriff's office says they are doubtful the men are still in the Piedmont Triad.
Maj. Tom Sheppard with the Guilford County Sheriff's Office said they have not received any tips about the inmates' location, despite offering a reward.
"We feel the odds are, they're not right here in Greensboro, but that doesn't mean they've left the state or the area," Sheriff BJ Barnes told WFMY News 2.
Barnes said they don't have as many men working on it as they did the day the escaped or the days that followed.
One Guilford County detective and the Fugitive Task Force are working on the case along with US Marshals, according to Sheppard and Barnes. Sheppard said they last met with the federal agents Wednesday.
Jose Alberto Hernandez-Hernandez and Jose Idel Sid escaped from the jail Saturday March 16. The two cellmates broke through their window and lowered themselves to the ground after they tied bed sheets together to use as a rope.
