Greensboro, NC -- Saturday around 6:00 pm, 64-year-old Timothy Minor was hit on his moped along Liberty and Blackmoor Roads in Guilford County, according to Highway Patrol.
Witnesses told troopers that the suspect who hit Minor was driving a truck and they left the scene of the accident. Minor died from his injuries on Sunday.
Tuesday, acting on news tips, Trooper Greg Ingram told WFMY News 2 they located and confiscated a truck that may be the one from the fatal hit and run. The truck was found on Mornstar Place in Greensboro.
Wednesday morning, Ingram said warrants were obtained on the suspect in the hit and run, but he has not been arrested. Officers are looking for 25-year-old Sergio Gomez Espindola of Greensboro. Ingram said they were told Espindola told someone he was catching a bus and heading to Houston, TX.
Espindola is facing charges of: Felony Hit & Run Causing a Death, Careless and Reckless Driving, Driving without a License and Improper Passing.
