Carroll County, VA -- Three people killed in the 95 car pileup on I-77 near the North Carolina-Virginia border Sunday have been identified. One was a student at Duke University School of Law.
Dean Levi at Duke Law informed community members Monday about Andrew Katbi's death. In a statement on the school's website, Levi said Katbi was returning from a camping trip. He was scheduled to graduate in 2013.
Levi said the following about the student from Ohio:
"Andrew will be remembered by his friends and classmates as someone who cared deeply about those around him. Whether working to defend indigent clients, contributing to legal scholarship through research assistance, competing in intramural athletics, or spending time with friends, Andrew always pushed himself and those around him to a higher level."
William Sosebee, 33-years-old from Kentucky, and Kathern Worley, 71-years-old from Iron Station, NC, were also killed in the crash, according to WRAL.
