Greensboro, NC -- The warmth has finally started to return to Triad just in time for the Easter Weekend, but rain looks to also make a return for Easter Sunday.
The high temperature Friday afternoon at The Piedmont Triad International Airport was 59 degrees, making it the warmest day in 10 days. While it was a nice change of pace from highs in the 40s earlier in the week it was still cooler than the normal high temperature of 65 degrees.
As we head into the weekend the increased warmth will remain with high temperatures on Saturday and Sunday in the low 60s. Cloud cover will be mixed with sunshine on Saturday, but a storm system will move in from the west Saturday night and begin to introduce the chance of showers.
There will be a small chance of spotty showers Saturday night with an increasing chance of rain through the day on Sunday. Showers will likely be widely scattered across the entire area by Sunday afternoon.
The chance of rain continues through Monday morning with even warmer temperatures expected by Monday afternoon. High temperatures Monday will be in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
