You can start your spring cleaning with your medicine cabinet. Locations to drop off old prescription and over-the-counter medications are available this week.
Organizers with Safe Kids Northwest Piedmont say it helps the environment and helps keep older family members and kids safe.
"So you're protecting people in your home," Donna Joyner with Safe Kids Northwest Piedmont said. "Older people who get hold of medications and can't see well and overdoses, take too many, or kids that get it by accident."
There are more than 250 drop off locations around the state this week.
You can find locations, times and dates for your county online. Guilford County and Forsyth Countyhave drop-off locations available on Friday.
