Triad -- Highs on Saturday made it to the upper 50s to low 60s. The official high at PTI Airport was 61. After several chilly and windy days, those numbers were appreciated by most.
The warming doesn't stop there. We could have three more days in the 60s before another slight cool down.
A new low pressure system is approaching from the west. Ahead of it, the wind is pulling out of the south and bringing a milder air mass with it. Sunday and Monday will be partly sunny days- both making it to the mid 60s for highs. There is a 20% chance of a shower on Monday but otherwise, it should be smooth sailing for the rest of the weekend and the start of the new week.
The best rain chance of the week will be Monday night and Tuesday morning. That is when the cold front will move through the Piedmont. Overall, not much rain is expected. There may be a few tenths of an inch.
The system is out of here by Wednesday. By then, the sun returns and highs will be back in the upper 50s for the rest of the week.
