Triad --  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Wilkes, Yadkin, Stokes, Rockingham and Caswell Counties, NC and Pittsylvania, and Henry Counties, VA until 2 pm.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Surry and Alleghany Counties, NC and Patrick, Grayson and Carroll Counties, VA until 2 pm.

Temperatures continue to be close to freezing as the rain continues to fall. There should be less than a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation in the advisory area. Most of the accumulation has been on elevated surfaces like trees, fences and decks. There is a small possibility of patches of ice on bridges and overpasses. Be extra careful when traveling.

Areas under the warning could potentially see up to a quarter inch of ice accumulation. Again, most of the impacts will be on elevated surfaces like trees and power lines. Some bridges and overpasses could also be affected.
