Triad -- Sunday brought a return of the sun and highs in the low 60s. The clear skies and mild temperatures will last a bit longer before the next low pressure system takes over.
Tonight will be mostly clear and cool with lows close to freezing. We kick off the week with sun on Monday morning. As we progress through the day, clouds will increase and limit warming to the low 50s.
The next step is the rain. Late in the afternoon or early evening, we could begin to see a few showers. The heavy rain will fall Monday night and into the day on Tuesday. It could be heavy at times. Some places could pick up more than an inch of rain.
The low moves out by Wednesday. We will have one more mild day before the chilly air returns. The rest of the week will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 40s.
