Rabid Racoon Found In Greensboro, 2nd Confirmed Case Of Rabies For County In 2013

Guilford County, NC - Guilford County Department of Public Health has confirmed another case of rabies in 2013.

Health officials said a raccoon found on Hertford St. in Greensboro Monday tested positive for the rabies virus. One dog had contact with the infected raccoon.

The Department of Public Health issued a reminder for North Carolina citizens that state law requires all domestic pets age four months or older to have a rabies vaccination.
