Salisbury, NC - The parent company of Food Lion, Delhaize America, will eliminate 500 jobs.
The Salisbury Post cited a company e-mail sent to Delhaize America employees Tuesday that said they plan to make layoffs above the store manager level. Employees will know the fate of their positions by February 12. The cuts include 350 current corporate employees and 150 open positions.
Delhaize America, is a Salisbury-based company.
