Durham, NC -- Alamance County Sheriff Terry Johnson has suffered from, what the sheriff's office is calling, a "cardiac event."
Capt. Steve Young with the Alamance County Sheriff's Office says Johnson was taken to Duke Hospital Saturday afternoon where he underwent corrective procedures.
Young says Johnson is currently recovering at the hospital, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
"At this time we ask that you keep Sheriff Johnson and his family in your prayers," Young said in a news release.
The sheriff's office will release more information at the request of the family.
