Winston-Salem, NC-- What happens when a city leader joins hundreds of students to push obesity prevention... a Zumbatomic breaks out!

Okay, not really. The Zumbatomic was actually planned for Friday as an attempt to break a world record.

Mayor, Allen Joines was joined by more than 1,100 students attempting to break the record for the largest Zumbatomic done at one time.

The event was held in downtown Winston Salem at the Benton Convention Center on Fifth Street.

Zumbatomic is a form of Zumba aerobics for children under 15 years old.

It was also part of Mayor Joines' Childhood Obesity Prevention Program, which is a 28 day challenge to get kids active and healthy.

In case you're wondering about the record, the current one is 383 students at once. It was set in April 28, 2012 in Brownsville, Texas.
