Greensboro, NC -- A WFMY News 2 viewer contacted our 2 Wants To Know team with a question about event tickets.
The Price is Right Live show is coming to Greensboro this weekend and this viewer found a couple tickets online on Craigslist. The problem: they're way too expensive, $400 for two tickets! On Ticketmaster, the most expensive ticket is only $42!

Our viewer asked how can people get away with ticket scalping?
But we found inflating ticket prices online technically isn't scalping!

According to the North Carolina Attorney General, it's only scalping if it's in person, and they're charging more than three dollars over face value.

Over the internet a person can charge whatever they want unless the venue has a disclaimer saying they can't, which they would have to apply and pay for for each event. The Greensboro Coliseum doesn't have those disclaimers.

So here's a rule of thumb if you're buying tickets to any event online: Make sure there is a money back guarantee in case the show or event is cancelled or if you end up with a bogus ticket.
