Gilbert, AZ-- Janae Colvard was in so much pain she couldn't drive herself to Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert on Wednesday.
A nurse thought she may have had kidney stones and placed Colvard in a wheelchair until the doctor could come check her out.
But when Colvard stood up she thought she had "an accident," and that's when she noticed a baby's head crowning.
The 30-year-old had no idea she was pregnant until she gave birth to the healthy little girl.
She was shocked, but even more so was the child's father, Brian Ojinaga, a longtime friend she hadn't seen in seven months.
Ojinaga said he is nervous. But the 30-year-old said he's more proud than anything else now that his head isn't spinning quite so fast.
While this little girl has turned their lives upside down, Ojinaga and Colvard say they won't panic. They intend to adjust the way they see the world with the help of this little girl who was a surprise.
