She's been going to Winston-Salem State sporting events for 50 years and has rarely missed a game, but an injury a few years ago has made her getting to the games more difficult.

Three years ago, she fell and broke her neck, leaving her unable to walk.

Sunday, she spoke with News 2 and told us she'd go to the game if she had a handicap accessible ride.

Several viewers reached out to News 2 offering to help Ms. Sims get to the game. By Monday afternoon, she had transportation and tickets.

"I said yah! I'm going to Alabama!"

For Allean Sims, it's the trip of a lifetime and it is made possible thanks to Roderick Jessup, a man who has never met or heard of Ms. Sims until Monday.

"I thought it was a very touching story."

Jessup watched Ms, Sims' story and within a couple hours, he emailed News 2 with a very generous offer.

"We're providing her with transportation, 2 EMTs to ride with her, and one attendant, and we will transport her down that Saturday morning, and bring her back that Saturday after the game," explained Jessup.

His company, Gate City Transportation, is picking up the entire tab.

"I'm just so excited and I want to thank everybody who participated," said Sims.

Winston-Salem State University provided their biggest fan with four tickets to the championship game.

She's taking her cousin and two friends, and she hopes to bring home the national title.

"Nothing but the win and we're going to win because those boys have played tough and hard this year!"

If Ms. Sims were to pay for this trip that Jessup is donating, it would cost more than $3.000.

"I just felt like this was something to do right here at Christmas, plus giving back to the community," said Jessup.

The game is being held in Florence, Alabama, almost 10 hours from Winston-Salem.
