Triad -- November ended up being a cool month, with temperatures ranging below average overall. December has gone completely the other way. Highs have been in the 60s or 70s all but two days.
Sunday and Monday will add to the warmth. As a low pressure system moves in from the West, warm air is surging in out ahead of it. That means highs today will be in the mid to upper 60s. On Monday, we should reach the low 70s. There is also a chance of showers during the day on Sunday.
The cold front will move through on Monday night. That means the best chance of rain for the whole week will be Monday afternoon and evening. There is a 50% chance of rain. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like much will fall into the rain gauge. Most areas will pick up less than a quarter inch. The chance extends into Tuesday morning as well.
Cool air will be back in place on Tuesday. There will be a 20 degree drop from Monday's low 70s to Tuesday's low 50s.
