Greensboro, NC-- Two Greensboro couples talk to News 2 about what it's really like to win the lottery.
If you won the lottery, what would you do?
You probably have a list in your mind of things you would like to do, items you would purchase, debt or loans you would pay off.
That's all up to your imagination, but what's it really like?
In the midst of America's Powerball craze, News 2's Liz Crawford talked to two Greensboro couples who can tell you what it's really like.
Jimmie and Susan Phelps won $155,721 on November 13, 2012. At first they were shocked and ecstatic, but Susan said the couple started to feel anxious about what to do next.
"I always thought we would jump up and down with joy and be very very excited and that's not what happened at all. It was very surprising reaction, almost a sense of anxiety, a sense of ok, now what?," said Susan.
Jimmie added, "Deciding what you want to spend it on, you know. Should I do this? Should I do that? You know. That's probably the biggest con."
Mike Manheim was a big winner in May 2010. He and his wife, Faye won $12-million.
