High Point, NC -- It's been about four weeks since hurricane Sandy left its mark.  Now, thanks to one of the Triad's most famous dogs, both people and pets will see even more relief.

Susie's Hope is teaming up with the New Day Church in High Point to take in donations for the people and animals affected by Sandy.  They're looking for food, blankets and clothes.

This is the second time the group has driven up there to help out. Volunteers said they couldn't believe what some of the victims are going through.

"It's just horrible.  We really need to reach out and show people love and show the love of Christ.  And that's what we are trying to do.  Through Susie's Hope we're trying to do that as well," said Donna Lawrence, Susie's mother.

The group will head to New Jersey sometime this week. If you want to help, you can drop off donations at the New Day Church on South Main St. in High Point.

Here's the address:  1229 South Main Street, High Point.
