Triad -- A low pressure system has been parked off the North and South Carolina coast for the weekend. Beach weather has been less than desirable. Wind and rain likely kept November beach-goers inside. It was just far enough away from the Piedmont to keep most places dry locally.
Heading into the new work week, the low will begin to make a little progress. Skies should still feature more clouds than sun on Monday and Tuesday. Highs will be in the upper 50s. There is a 20% chance of a shower from now through Tuesday.
By mid week, the coastal low should leave the whole state alone. There will be more sun on Wednesday, with highs in the low 60s.
Thanksgiving and Black Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 60s. Sunny skies even stretch into next weekend with highs in the mid 50s.
