Greensboro, NC -- The holidays are quickly approaching, and the Greensboro Police Department is doing its part to make sure they're enjoyable for all local families.

Police continued their initiative to give full holiday meals and gifts to 100 families who need them this holiday season.

It's all part of Operation: Yuletide's 'Fill the Cruiser' campaign. Police spent Saturday collecting food, clothing, toys and household items for the families.

Officers will deliver the items to the families in mid-December.

'Fill the Cruiser' relies completely on donations from the public. Collections started Nov. 2 and will continue until Nov. 28.

For more information on times and locations for these events, visit the City of Greensboro's website.

Monetary donations can be mailed to Christ Wesleyan Church, 2400 S. Holden Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Indicate that it's for Operation Yuletide at the bottom of the check. The church will provide receipts for tax-deductible cash donations.
