Greensboro, NC -- A new Consumer Reports poll found 40% will postpone not only maintenance but car repairs: that includes brakes, tires, light bulbs that could cause a real problem down the road.
Jeff Bartlett, Deputy Online Automotive Editor at Consumer Reports said the survey didn't really surprise him, but it concerned him.
Bartlett reccomends following your owner's manual's reccommended maintenance schedule. He also suggests checking out the Consumer Reports Car Repair Estimator. You can select your car make, model and year and the repair/maintanence needed and the website will generate an estimate for what you might pay.
