Greensboro, N.C. -- You could hit the art collectors jackpot and at a great price. There are more than 100 pieces of artwork on sale to help the JDRF Piedmont Triad Chapter.
Anne Hummel, the founder of our local JDRF chapter talked with WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain about the tag sale on the Good Morning Show.
"The proceeds will support JDRF's efforts to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes and its complications," explained Hummel.
HanesBrands, a longtime supporter of JDRF, donated more than 100 framed pieces from its Corporate Art Collection.
"You will find bargains," said Hummel. "HanesBrands has collected a wonderful compilation of art over the years."
When setting prices for each piece, Hummel and her husband Sam consulted with professionals from local galleries.
The JDRF Piedmont Triad chapter will host the tag sale Friday, January 24, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 9 a.m. to Noon.
The tag sale will be at 312 North Eugene Street in Greensboro (across from NewBridge Bank Park); there's free parking available in the lot adjacent to the building.
