GREENSBORO, N.C. -- More than 4,000 people in need will get a hot Thanksgiving meal Thursday, thanks to several local organizations.
The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, Greensboro Urban Ministry, the Victory Junction Gang and several other local groups are preparing to feed thousands at this year's Community Tables event.
People can get food at First Presbyterian Church, on N. Elm St. in Greensboro, from noon until 2 p.m. Volunteers will also serve meals at Congregational United Church of Christ, on W. Radiance Dr., from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
WFMY News 2's Patrick Wright was at the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman Wednesday morning where volunteers were preparing more than 1,300 pounds of turkey for Thursday's meals.
