Some of the Triad's best chess experts will be taking on one hundred young players during the 6th annual "One Hundred Chances to Checkmate."
The free competition is being held on Sunday, November 10 at the Bryan YMCA at 501 W. Market Street in Greensboro from 2 to 5 p.m. The competition is open to chess players of all skill levels between the ages of 6 and 21.
Advance registration is recommended, but participants can also register the day of the event between 1:30-1:45 p.m. Players can register by emailing their name, age, phone number and level of play to email@example.com or by calling the Greensboro Symphony at 336-335-5456, ext. 239 to reserve their spot for the event.
