Man Shot In Winston-Salem Home

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Winston-Salem Police Department says it responded to a shooting last night in the 4000 block of Reich Street, where officers and EMS personnel found an individual unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. 

A 39-year-old man was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where he is in "grave" condition with life-threatening injuries, according to the police department.

Criminal Investigation Division detectives are on scene at the Reich Street home, and the investigation is ongoing. 

The Winston-Salem Police Department says witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots. Witnesses told police they then saw two men wearing dark clothing running from the area.
