RANDLEMAN, N.C. -- Many students around the world woke up Wednesday morning, brushed their teeth, grabbed their book bags and hopped on the bus - but for millions of other students, the bus wasn't necessary.
Wednesday was International Walk/Bike to School Day. Students all over the world met at specific locations in their communities to walk or ride their bikes to school.
The program is meant to promote healthy lifestyles, safe walking communities and stronger, more connected communities.
WFMY News 2's Patrick Wright spent the morning with Randleman Elementary students as they prepared for their walk to school.
