GREENSBORO - It's all about STEM: science, technology, engineering and math. But ask any student and they'll tell you they need some fun mixed in there too.

The WFMY News 2 Good Morning Show team met some awesome kids at Bluford STEM Academy during a recent Read 2 Succeed program who know how to combine both.

The school took Robin Thicke's song "Blurred Lines" and changed the lyrics to positive words that are associated with their core subjects.

Dawn Humphrey, the school's music teacher says the words are all about STEM learning and getting a good education. "I like to use things that students are already interested in. It's part of the way I teach. It helps them get excited and what they do here at Bluford," she said.

All of the words incorporated in the song are part of a bigger lesson plan.   "We're programming robots. I'd rather not fuss. That's why I'm proud I go to Bluford," sang the kids.

The students talk about astronomy, designing playgrounds, engineering and programming robots.  And now the parents have picked it up and sing along too.
