WFMY -- A Triad family needs your help to help their 3-year-old son.

We introduced you to little Caleb Paynter about a year ago.

Caleb was born with Cockayne Syndrome (Type II). The syndrome is so rare, there are only 60 known cases in the world.

Cockayne Syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes premature aging and a shortened lifespan.

Caleb's mother, Jennifer Paynter, said they family is planning to attend a CS Retreat in Washington, DC next month. At the retreat, they'll meet with doctors and specialists, who could help Caleb.

Caleb's Squad is holding a fundraiser, a car wash, this weekend to help cover the family's travel expenses for the retreat.

The car wash is from 7 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 29 at the NewBridge Bank on Freeway Drive in Reidsville.
