Greensboro - Summer officially begins on Friday, and with summer comes the time of year people look to freshen up their homes, and painting is the easiest way to do it, according to Tom Garcia with Southern Evergreen High Performance Homes.
On Thursday's Good Morning Show, Garcia was at the Sherwin-Williams Store on Pisgah Church Road in Greensboro, and he walked through tips for people looking to improve the look of their home with new paint.
Garcia said one good reason to paint is it increases the real estate value of your home. He says, "painting both exterior and interior walls, trim and other home surfaces will increase the overall real estate value of your home."
Other incentives to painting areas of your home include enhancing the curb appeal, keeping dust and dirt to a minimum, and hiding permanent marks.
Garcia also discussed the best way to stain wood, and at Sherwin-Williams, they are offering 30% off stains through July 8.
