We hear a lot about how much red tape veterans have to sift through to get their benefits but imagine how much more difficult that would be for a disabled vet.

Tuesday night at the Carolina Theatre there is an event that can help out.  The Disabled American Veterans Association will have representatives on hand to help out.

It's all part of an effort to raise awareness for disabled veterans.  The theatre is showing "The Guns of Navarone" at 7:30 pm tomorrow night.  The movie is $5 at the door but vets get in for free.

Carolina Theatre CEO/President Keith Holliday says they scheduled the event on the same week as D-Day and hopes that it keeps our veterans in our minds to help out all the vets who have fought for us over the years.
