Greensboro, NC - The "Click It or Ticket" Program is turning 20 years old this year, and the innovative program that first began in North Carolina is using the anniversary to remind people to buckle up.

Seat belt use peaked in 2008 at nearly 90%, and it has been on the decline since then, standing at 87.5% in 2012.

On Thursday's Good Morning Show, North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Greg Ingram spoke with News 2 about the "Click It or Ticket" program.

As a part of the anniversay of "Click It or Ticket", the Department of Transportation is encouraging people to take a Safety Selife and use the hashtag #safetyselfie.
