Greensboro, NC -- Out with the old and in with the new. If you've done your seasonal closet cleaning, but you're not sure what to do with your old clothes, Triad Goodwill has an idea for you.

In 2011, Triad Goodwill has started a donation program called "Triad Goodwill At Your Door".

The program is designed to make donating as easy as possible.

Here's how it works. On a designated day, Goodwill's transportation staff will go around a participating neighborhood and collect donations that are placed at each participant's homes.

Through the program, residents can donate throughout the year without ever loading up their car or going to a donation location.

Triad Goodwill works directly with the Home Owners Associations in individual neighborhoods to get approval and to let residents know how they can participate.

The program has several neighborhoods in Greensboro already participating, but they're looking for more neighborhoods to get involved.

There's no fee to participate and all of the donations stay in Greensboro.

Last year, Triad Goodwill at Your Door collected more than 8,000 lbs. of items.

If you're interesting in signing up your neighborhood, you can contact Deanna Miller, Marketing Specialist with Triad Goodwill Industries.

You can call her at 336-275-9801 ext.1034 or email
