WFMY -- Where is the best summer vacation destination for your family and how can you have a fun vacation without breaking the bank?
Travel experts were on hand Tuesday morning at WFMY News 2 to answer those and other summer vacation questions.
Diane Michael, with Luxury Travel Destinations, said there are plenty of budget-friendly options within driving distance of the Triad.
For a big family, looking for a relaxing vacation, Michael said renting a vacation home is an affordable option.
Michael also said if you're looking for more of an adventure, but you still need to stick to a budget, a cruise is a great family vacation with something for everyone.
Martha Nichols, with Aladdin Travel, said the morning is the best time to see sites and enjoy amusement parks, because it's the only time you could beat the crowds in the summer.
"When people are vacation, they want to sleep in and see the sites or go to their destination in the afternoon. You can expect the biggest crowds after 1 p.m.," said Nichols.
